Saint James Paris has introduced new suites: Pavilion Élise and Pavilion Félicie. Guests can now experience the property’s gardens by staying in one of two private Pavilion Rooms in the chateau’s former gatehouses, each with a terrace and private spa.
Both Pavilion Rooms underwent a full renovation inside and out, led by interior designer Laura Gonzalez, who designed the hotel and its adjacent villa. Guests of the Pavilions have a garden path and terrace to enter their private residences, spanning 860 square feet across three floors. The living room is on the ground floor and offers a pull-out sofa bed for one adult or two children. Upstairs is the primary bedroom and en-suite shower room. Downstairs is a private spa consisting of a large jet bathtub, a dry sauna and an exercise bike. Treatments can be ordered in each Pavilion’s private spa in case guests prefer not to visit the Guerlain spa within the hotel.
The gardens at the doorstep of the Pavilions are a natural protected area within the city of Paris. The hotel’s garden-inspired restaurant, Bellefeuille, which last month retained its Michelin star under new chef Grégory Garimbay, also received a Green Star for sustainability by the Michelin Guide. This distinction honors the teams’ efforts, which include focusing on fresh and eco-responsible ingredients for its dishes and evening tasting menus and serving vegetables grown in the hotel’s organic garden south of Paris and brought to the Saint James by electric van.
Owned by Olivier Bertrand and his family, Saint James Paris and its sister hotels, Relais Christine in the Latin Quarter, and the soon-to-open Hotel Balzac, off the Champs-Élysées, are members of Relais & Chateaux. The family’s other properties include the new Château des Fleurs and the Hotel Norman, both in the 8th Arr. near the top of the Champs-Elysées.
