InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, situated on Vietnam’s Son Tra Peninsula, is celebrating the life of the late American chef, author and TV personality Anthony Bourdain, with a month-long culinary fiesta. The “Vietnam Street Food Celebration: A Tribute to Anthony Bourdain” will take place at Citron, the sea-facing restaurant, where guests can tuck into authentic local street food.
The late Bourdain was a regular visitor to Vietnam and often spoke about his love of the country’s culture and cuisine. Speaking of the country in 2005, the late chef noted, “Vietnam. It grabs you and doesn’t let you go. Once you love it, you love it forever.” InterContinental Danang is honoring this connection by hosting the culinary-focused event. Throughout June 2024, guests can savor a set menu that highlights some of Bourdain’s favorite Vietnamese dishes, including pork and prawn spring rolls. Next up is a trio of main courses, followed by dessert.
Guests will also have the opportunity to learn the art of Vietnamese cooking through interactive classes, which also focus on the late Bourdain’s favorite recipes, and a barista-led coffee tasting session highlighting Vietnam’s unique cà phê culture.
This culinary celebration will form part of InterContinental Danang’s “Summer Festival 2024,” a four-month-long series of activities spanning all aspects of the resort, from wellness and gastronomy to culture, nature, entertainment and more, including many interactive experiences and promotions for guests.
